RN ICU | Nights

Location: Mamou, LA

Compensation: $55.00/hr

Shift: Nights

Length: 8 weeks

Requirements:

*2 Years ICU Experience Required

*Previous Travel Experience Required

*Weekend: Yes, every other weekend

*On-Call: No

*Required Cert: BLS, NIH, & ACLS

*Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care.

*Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems.

Unit Specifics:

*Unit staffing description: RNs and Unit secretary. Total care is provided by RNs.

*Type of equipment: Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, PAPR’s and hoods for any suspected COVID-19 patient.

*Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units.
